Mirrors for walls and mantels
A tall mirror can bring height to a narrow wall, while a broader frame can anchor a mantel or sideboard. Compare the overall frame measurements with the space available, and look closely at the glass and frame finish. Ask about weight and existing fittings before planning installation.
Explore mirrorsPottery, ceramics and vases
Choose a form and colour that work with the objects around it. A single vase can be a focal point; a small pot can sit comfortably among books. Read the description for the stated maker and materials, and ask for a base or mark photograph when an attribution matters to you.
Explore potteryGlass and reflective surfaces
Consider where the piece will catch daylight and how its colour will sit against the wall or shelf behind it. Check the rim, base and any stopper or lid in the photographs. Confirm which parts are included and review the condition notes for chips, clouding or repairs.
Explore glassObjects with a previous purpose
A shop mirror, tobacco jar or advertising piece can introduce a different story to a room. Use the listing for its stated history and date. Age, origin and provenance should come from the individual description, rather than assumptions based on the look of the object.
Look beyond the main photograph
Check the dimensions against your shelf, wall or tabletop. Product pages include centimetres and approximate inches where measurements are available. Surface wear and earlier repairs can affect how a piece looks at close range, so read its condition notes and use “Ask about this piece” to request a specific detail or photograph.
If you plan to use a decorative object for food, drink, water or another practical purpose, ask whether that use is appropriate. A decorative description alone does not confirm suitability.
