An impressive pair of antique Alderson & Gyde copper ship’s navigation lanterns, featuring substantial copper bodies with heavy brass carrying handles and thick Fresnel glass lenses. Clearly marked “Bow Port Pat. 23” and “Bow Starboard Pat. 24”, these authentic maritime lanterns were manufactured by the renowned makers Alderson & Gyde and would have originally been fitted aboard a vessel to display the required port and starboard navigation lights.
